POLYFLO 1061 is a highly aromatic plasticizer with a mild petroleum odor.
POLYFLO 1061 is an extra pale, low viscosity plasticizer with outstanding solvency and plasticizing properties. Consisting of 98% clay-gel aromatics, it exhibits excellent compatibility in vinyl systems and is highly recommended as a primary vinyl plasticizer. As a primary plasticizer, POLYFLO 1061 is completely compatible in 50/50 mixtures of PVC, and may be used as a 100% replacement for primary ester plasticizers. The physical properties of vinyl resins are not altered significantly; generally tensile strength, modulus and tear resistance are increased by 10 to 20%.
Because of its high solvency, POLYFLO 1061 provides reduced viscosity and improves the rheology in plastisol processing; it promotes pigment and filler wetting and facilitates higher solids loading. POLYFLO 1061 may reduce plastisol processing time by as much as 75%, or processing temperatures may be reduced accordingly; it improves the shelf life and low temperature flexibility.
As a non-reactive diluent in expoy systems, POLYFLO 1061 increases gel-time, thus minimizing shrinkage for potting and encapsulation application.
POLYFLO 1061 imparts high dielectric and is excellent for electrical applications. Compared with other aromatic oils, POLYFLO 1061 exhibits unusual ultra-violet stability and may be suitable for light colored applications.
POLYFLO 1061 is also used as a seal swell agent in ATF and similar products.
