For customers who purchase reclaimed heat transfer fluids from CHEM Group, the savings is usually as substantial as it is easy to calculate based upon the difference in price between our reclaimed fluids and their virgin counterparts.
For customers who want to maximize their savings through our Clear Value Reclaim & Return program, the first step is to obtain a sample of the fluid to be reclaimed. By requesting a Clear Value fluid sampling kit, you’ll receive everything you need to obtain a sample and see that it is returned to us for a free fluid analysis.
When the sample arrives, it will be examined to provide an estimate of the efficiency with which it can be reclaimed. Depending upon the type of fluid and how long it has been in service, reclamation efficiencies as low as 50% and as high as 95% have been observed.
After multiplying the appropriate reclaim & return price by the total volume of fluid to be reclaimed the total cost of reclamation can be determined. If this cost is less than what it will cost to buy replacement fluid and dispose of the existing fluid, reclamation makes sense. If not, chances are disposal is the best solution. In most cases, however, the savings associated with our Clear Value Reclaim & Return program will easily constitute the least costly means by which to return your heat transfer system to peak operating condition.
