Rolling Oils Project Evaluation
At CHEM Group, proposals for the reclamation of rolling oil are based upon a number of factors including the volume of contaminated oil to be reclaimed, it’s water content, and an estimate of transportation costs.
At least initially, customers will be asked to submit a sample of their contaminated fluid. This sample will be analyzed at no charge to determine its water content, viscosity, flash point, and boiling range. In turn, these measurements will be used to provide an estimate of how much reclaimed rolling oil can be expected after processing. While yields typically exceed 95%, it’s important to recognize that the actual volume of reclaimed material will depend upon the concentration of contaminants in the material prior to reclamation.
Pricing is typically provided as a price per gallon of contaminated oil to be processed and will include all disposal costs for materials containing less than 5% water. For materials containing more than 5% water, additional charges related to the disposal of this fraction may be applicable. Transportation costs will be quoted as a separate line item of the proposal in cooperation with Carson’s Transport, LLC. Though use of Carson’s Transport is not required, most customers find that working with our transportation company affords the greatest degree of flexibility in terms of scheduling the pick-ups and deliveries.
